Last week, we ran a contest in honor of President Barack Obama's visit for the 2010 University of Michigan Commencement. To enter, contestants guessed what the total count for attendance at the Michigan Stadium would be on Saturday. The total official count is being placed at around 88,500, meaning that our winner is David W., of Ann Arbor, MI, with a guess of 87,915. Congratulations to David and he'll receive a free copy of John Kenneth White's new book Barack Obama's America. Thanks to all who took a guess!
When a sitting US President delivers the commemcement address, the University can be proud of the explicit recognition of the importance and stature it has hard earned among its' peers. This is an accomplishment that should not be taken easily nor for granted. The University of Michigan should stand proud of this accomplish in 2010.
